I would just like to clarify that you have to click on “edit” after inserting the image in a post, to fill the field Alt, because this one is empty, WordPress has planned that we can customize it according to the post put.

Thank you for the article.

I’ve a question about the use of “alt/title” and “caption”.

In some cases like “featured images” it is much convenient to use figure and figcaption to enforce the relation of the image and content.

My question is, can I leave the alt and or title attribute blank? I mean, caption and alt together is not a repetition?

Generally the alt attribute should be used to provide an alternative text if the image has text that is important within the content as per h37 of the wcga http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20-TECHS/H37.html or I’m wrong?
